Senior sessions are all about finding a location that feels right for the senior—and sometimes the best backdrops are hiding in places you’d never expect!

 

For Rayann’s senior session, we headed to BOCES in Olean, NY, and discovered the most beautiful little hidden gem tucked away behind the school. What might seem like an everyday school setting from the front completely transforms once you head out back. Surrounded by nature, greenery, and beautiful natural light, it gave us the perfect setting for her senior portraits.

Finding Beauty in Unexpected Places


One of our favorite things about photography is discovering locations that people might normally walk right past. You don’t always need a huge park, elaborate venue, or popular photo spot to create gorgeous senior portraits. The natural area behind BOCES gave Rayann’s session a peaceful, outdoorsy feel while still being somewhere that had a connection to this chapter of her life. The trees, tall grasses, trails, and natural textures created so much variety without having to travel from location to location.


And the light? Perfect.


It was one of those locations that reminds us why we’re always scouting, exploring, and looking beyond the obvious.

Making Senior Photos Feel Like You


We know senior pictures can sometimes feel like something you’re doing because Mom or Dad said you had to. That’s why our goal is to make senior sessions relaxed, easy, and actually fun.


There’s no pressure to know how to pose or what to do in front of the camera. We guide you through everything while also leaving plenty of room for those natural smiles, laughs, movement, and in-between moments that make your gallery feel like you.


Rayann absolutely rocked her session, and this little hidden nature spot behind BOCES ended up being the perfect backdrop to celebrate her senior year.
